For the couple who loves to travel what could be more perfect than a travel themed wedding?

Guests could receive a vintage postcard save the date followed by invitations created to look like passports. Vintage postcards could also be signed and bound to create a guest book. Maps could be repurposed throughout the event including being made into garland,  cufflinks, flowers for bouquets, fun pinwheels for centerpieces, cupcake toppers and to wrap frames that could hold table numbers. A vintage suitcase would be the perfect way to present the seating chart.

The South is known for its delicious honey like Tupelo and Orange Blossom to name a few.  Here are a few sweet ideas for a honeybee inspired wedding.

How perfect are these invitations?  And we love the bee brooch on this bouquet!

We would fill these honeycomb ceramic vases with bright yellow flowers and use them as centerpieces.  You could serve cakes made in honeycomb molds as well! The yellow and black dresses from Eshakti would be great  for bridesmaids.

These little gold bee studs are so adorable and could be worn by both the bride and her bridesmaids.  We would wear them long after the wedding too!

This bee cutout place card is so creative in the way it is displayed perched on a wine glass. And of course you would have to have honey for favors!

The title of this posts says it all. Today we are inspired by Spanish moss and oak trees. Two Southern landscape staples that stretch from Texas all the way to the coasts of the Carolinas.

The wood grain band on these oak motif invitations adds texture and enhances the ‘carved initials’ image. These tags also bear the oak tree motif and an antiqued look.

This oak draped mantle is so simply elegant. Spanish moss can be tucked into all areas of your decor including around centerpieces or food displays like this candy bar. Or you could place your cake, desserts or other food on these trunk pedestals and tuck moss around the bases. If your budget permits you must serve Silver Oak wine (it is divine).

This is a beautiful example of Spanish moss tucked around centerpieces. The Spanish draped arbor creates a beautiful ceremony setting. The light fixture hanging from the tree in this cozy seating area is so chic.

It would be easy as pie to make these string light filled mason jars.

Speaking of string lights, how gorgeous is this light lined tree at night? You could also opt to hang lanterns instead or as well!

Important to Know: Do not touch or take live Spanish moss off of trees. Even though it is gray – it is still living and is host to many little critters (chiggers/red bugs) that will make you wish you never touched the stuff. You can purchase Spanish moss for decorating at most craft stores very inexpensively. This Spanish moss will be very dry so make sure you use it carefully around anything that is flammable.

So we know the title is silly but we couldn’t resist incorporating Wiz Khalifa’s song (on our terms) and we’d be lying if we said we were not singing ‘gray and yellow’ to ourselves as we researched for this post.

And by now you have probably figured out that this post is about two of our favorite current wedding colors, gray and yellow!

Yellow bouquets really pop when matched with gray bridesmaids dresses. We love gray suiting for the gents as well.  Both of these lovely images were captured by Stephanie Williams Photography.

How perfect is this dessert bar? We love these sweet favors sealed with yellow and white striped ribbon, this simple two layer cake with white floral details and we had to feature these divine gray bridesmaids dresses.  Who would this dress not look beautiful on?  The great thing about gray is that it looks good with all skin tones. We refer it to the ‘neutral that’s nice.’

Set the stage by sending this unique wedding invitation.  You can have personalized wedding banners made to display a message of welcome or thanks. And this fascinator is stunning and could be worn in lieu of a veil.
